MU Online Season 19 and the 5th Class Advancement

Create a free account Every MU Online season

MU Online Season 19 added no new character. It changed the ones you already had. Its headline was the 5th class advancement, a new job tier for every class from level 1200, together with the systems built around it: Ability Cards, Extra Damage, 5th wings and Giant mounts. The same season renewed the Grow Lancer and the Dark Lord, opened Tormenta Island and Twisted Karutan, and raised the level cap from 1550 to 1650.

On the Korean service, Season 19 ran from September 19, 2023 to September 24, 2024, in six parts. Global players received it between July 2024 and March 2025. On private servers, "Season 19 Part 2-3", the last Season 19 release of IGCN's server files, became a version label of its own.

Did Season 19 add a new class?

No. The name causes the confusion: IGCN titled its Part 1-3 release "5th Class", which sounds like a new character, but it means the 5th advancement, the next class change after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ones that every class already had. Season 19 began and ended with the 14 classes that Season 18 left behind. The next new class was the Alchemist, which opened Season 20.

If a class list puts the Lemuria Mage or the Illusion Knight in Season 19, it is off: the Lemuria Mage arrived in Season 17 and the Illusion Knight in Season 18.

How does the 5th class advancement work?

The 5th advancement came with Part 1-3, released in Korea on November 1, 2023, and is run by a new NPC, Eunice. The quest is short, but every trial is a timed fight, so it tests your damage more than your patience.

  1. Reach level 1200. That is 400 normal levels plus 800 master levels.
  2. Talk to Eunice in Devias (193, 12). She sends you to the Realm of Privilege, a staging area for level 1200+ characters where you can form a party, and from there to the Realm of Trials. If you bring a party, it is pulled into the trials as one group.
  3. Beat Eunice three times against the clock. Each fight lends you one of the new damage types as a temporary buff, Nuke first, then Bolt, then Wide, and you have 60 seconds to bring her down.
  4. Claim the advancement. The third win promotes your character to its 5th class and pays out 200 stat points. It also opens the 5th tree and hands you Extra Ability Cards for Nuke, Bolt and Wide; equipping those cards is what switches Extra Damage on.
  5. Optionally, earn a Giant. Eunice's mount quest opens after the third trial. It costs 300 Jewels of Creation up front, then one more 60-second fight, this time against Eunice riding a Giant. The prize is one of the three Giants, drawn at random.

Webzen's 5th Class Quest guide describes the same route for the global service, where the 5th advancement went live on September 10, 2024 together with the level 5 wings.

What do Nuke, Bolt and Wide damage do?

Extra Damage is the new damage layer the 5th advancement unlocks. It works through Ability Cards placed in the 5th-tree slots, and the Korean patch notes split it three ways: Nuke hits one target for the most damage, Bolt hits up to two targets for medium damage, and Wide hits up to ten targets for the least. It triggers from 4th-tree enhanced skills and from 5th-tier ability skills. Read plainly, Nuke is the boss layer and Wide is the farming layer.

How do Ability Cards work?

The 5th tree is not a skill tree in the old sense; it is a set of card slots. In the global version, Ability Crystals drop from monsters in Burning Kethotum and the higher-level hunting grounds, and you craft them into Skill, Option and Elite cards. Part 2-2 tuned the cards, and the matching global update added a clearer Ability Core and card book window plus Skill Card conversion.

5th wings and the Wing Core

The same part gave every class 5th-level wings or capes, with a Wing Core that adds extra effects and a look of its own. Webzen's global guide lists the recipe as a Lv.5 Wings Divine Object, an Ultimate Magic Crystal and Zen. The crystals come from a +9 or higher mastery set item with 16 or more options, three per craft. The tiers below came earlier: 3rd wings in Season 2, 4th wings in Season 13.

Giant mounts

Giants are two-legged walking robots, and only 5th-advancement characters can earn one. Riding adds movement speed (+20 in the global version), and Ctrl+X mounts or dismounts. The catch: a Giant cannot be out at the same time as a Muun, a guardian or a Fenrir, so it does not stack with your other rides.

What changed in the Grow Lancer and Dark Lord renewals?

Season 18 had renewed four classes in a single patch. Season 19 took one class at a time, about seven months apart, and used the same recipe for both: new skills, reworked old ones, the Combat Power (%) stat and a line of mastery shields made for the class.

Grow Lancer: Part 1-1, September 2023

The season opened with the Grow Lancer. She gained two skills, Oversting and Wild Breche, while Shining Pick, Breche, Wrath and Obsidian were reworked and the rest of her kit got smaller adjustments. These are Webzen's global names; IGCN's files spell two of them Wild Breath and Shining Peak. Mastery Lancer shields arrived, from Bloodangel at level 400 up to Brilliant at level 1300, and Combat Power (%), the stat behind the Season 18 renewals, was extended to the Grow Lancer. Global players got the renewal on July 23, 2024, as the opener of their Season 19.

Dark Lord: Part 2-1, April 2024

The Dark Lord renewal went further. It added three skills, Spirit Blast, Battle Glory and Crown Force, and turned the old Critical Damage skill into Lord Dignity (Lord of Dignity on the global service). Both companions were reworked, and each gained a stronger form: a level-70 Dark Spirit can be combined into a Divine Spirit (Fire, Ice or Holy) and a level-70 Dark Horse into a Divine Horse, and equipping either one requires the 3rd advancement. Mastery Lord shields run from Bloodangel (level 400) to Apocalypse (level 1400), Combat Power (%) came to the Dark Lord too, and the class's maximum attack speed was set to 290.

Webzen's Season 19 Part 2 renewal guide covers the global version, which went live on January 21, 2025.

Planning a Season 19 Dark Lord build? Four changes shape it: Combat Power (%), the attack speed cap of 290, the Divine Spirit and Divine Horse, and, from Part 2-3, Command as a stat option in the 4th skill tree. Our Dark Lord guide explains how Command works.

What does "Season 19 Part 2-3" mean on a private server?

Many private-server version labels come from IGCN, a server-files developer. It announced four Season 19 releases, and two of them combine a pair of Korean parts, so a label names the newest Korean part included, not the only one:

IGCN releaseKorean parts insideMain content
Part 1-2 (test from November 1, 2023)1-1 and 1-2Grow Lancer renewal, Tormenta Island, level 1600, Apocalypse and Ancient Lightning gear
Part 1-3 (files in early January 2024)1-35th advancement, 5th wings, Ability Cards, Giant mounts
Part 2-1 (test from May 24, 2024)2-1Dark Lord renewal
Part 2-3 (test from June 21, 2024)2-2 and 2-3Twisted Karutan, Foliage earrings, level 1650, Leviathan, artifact ranks, skill-tree changes

IGCN's Part 2-3 release also added an Events and Boss Information window and a reworked Ability Tree window, which is why IGCN billed it as an events info and UI renewal. On the global service, the matching update in March 2025 split Chaos Castle, Blood Castle, Devil Square and Doppelganger into new level brackets and unified boss spawn times. Part 2-3 was IGCN's last Season 19 build, so it is the newest Season 19 version a server on those files can run. Our event schedule guide explains how event timers work today.

Is Season 19 still worth playing in 2026?

Season 19 is a complete season in its own right: it is where every class got its 5th advancement and where the Grow Lancer and Dark Lord were renewed. Its systems carried forward, and the Season 22 server data still contains Eunice's trials, the Ability Card system, Leviathan, Tormenta Island and Twisted Karutan.

What a Season 19 server lacks is everything that came after. It tops out at 14 classes and level 1650, without the Alchemist, Temple Guard legendary gear or Tauros from Season 20 and without the Crusader from Season 21. Season 22 has all 16 classes. If you want the 5th advancement plus three more seasons on top, a Season 22 server is the more complete choice. Our MU Online Season 22 overview lists what the newest season changed, and the season history puts every version from 97d to Season 22 on one timeline.

Season 19 FAQ

What level do you need for the 5th class in MU Online?
Level 1200, counting master levels: 400 normal levels plus 800 master levels. The Realm of Privilege, where the quest starts, turns away anyone below that.
Where is the 5th class NPC?
Eunice stands in Devias at 193, 12. She runs all three trials and the Giant mount quest.
Is there a MU Online Season 19 Part 3?
Not officially. Season 19 runs from Part 1-1 to 1-3 and from 2-1 to 2-3, so "Part 3" usually means Part 1-3, the 5th advancement, or Part 2-3, the season's last part and IGCN's last Season 19 build.
What is the max level in Season 19?
1650, or Master Level 1250, after Part 2-2. The season opened at 1550 and reached 1600 in Part 1-2. Season 20 later raised the cap to 1700.
How do you get a Giant mount?
Complete the 5th advancement first. Eunice then offers a mount quest: hand over 300 Jewels of Creation and win a one-minute rematch against her on a Giant, and one of the three Giant types is yours at random.

Take your 5th class into Season 22 on SilverMU

The road Season 19 built is still the road to the endgame. Eunice's trials, Ability Cards and Extra Damage, 5th wings and Giants all carried into later seasons and are part of Season 22 Part 1-1. That is the version SilverMU runs (server files 22.1.1.0), and all 16 classes are in it, including the Alchemist and the Crusader that came after Season 19.

Testing is still under way, and nothing about rates or settings is final until the news says so. Watch the download page for the client, which goes live there once it is published, and set up a free account in the meantime.
