What is Debenter in MU Online?

Debenter is Season 8's new hunting ground, another part of Acheron, the region eX700 opened in Season 7. The global service named it Debenter: Darkness Valley, and the lore earns the name: this is where Kundun, the God of Darkness, calls up his monsters, in a landscape gloomier than the rest of Acheron. Korean patch information, relayed by a fan site at the time, puts its regular monsters at levels 105 to 109, with five elemental bosses at level 119.

Debenter never went away. IGCN's Season 22 map list still includes it, along with a separate Debenter copy used for Arca War. Our leveling spots guide covers where Debenter fits on the way to level 400.

How does Jewel of Pandora mining work?

Season 8 turned part of the jewel supply into a gathering job. According to Webzen's Season 8 release, one mining area could pay out as many as 1,000 Jewels of Bless. Webzen's mining guide and IGCN's Season 22 files show how it plays:

Whether a server turns mining on, and what it pays out, is part of that server's own configuration.

What else came with Season 8 Part 1?

What did Season 8 Part 2 change?

Part 2 reached Korea on April 16, 2013 and the global service on July 10, 2013, where it was called Season 8.2. It was a trading and comfort update:

When was Muun added to MU Online?

In Season 8 Part 3. The Korean service added Muun on August 13, 2013, two weeks after the rest of Part 3. The global service launched it on February 19, 2014, spelled MUNE in Webzen's Part 3 release.

A Muun is a companion with its own equipment slot, separate from your normal pet, so you can use both at once. It levels up and evolves once at max level, which changes its look and raises its stats. Korea launched with three types, one of them named Rookie. According to Korean press, Part 3 also started a monthly Illusion Temple tournament for the strongest guild on each server and grouped the buff and debuff icons.

Muun kept growing after Season 8. Season 9 added a second Muun slot and, on the global service, mount-type Muuns. Season X then added Muun abilities that boost EXP or Zen, among others.

What does Season 8 Episode 3 mean?

It is a community label, not a Webzen one. Webzen's Korean service released Season 8 in three parts, and the community, from fan sites to server-file makers, numbers those parts as episodes. Season 8 Episode 3, often written S8 EP3, refers to the last part, the one with Muun.

A label is the file maker's choice, not a promise. If you want a server for one feature, such as Muun or Pandora mining, check its own feature list before you start.
