MU Online Season 21: The Crusader Arrives
MU Online Season 21 gave the game its 16th class, the Crusader, and no class has joined since. This holy knight of Lugard, the god of light, fights with a hammer and a shield and arrived on the Korean service at the end of September 2025. The parts that followed raised the endgame for every class: Imperial legendary gear, two hunting grounds for level 1600 and up, new Elite Zones, the 9th mastery earrings, the Rhino guardian and a level cap that climbed from 1700 to 1800.
Its Part 2 (Korea, April to June 2026) gave three classes attack power types of their own: Gale, Chaos and Illusion. On IGCN's server files, which many private servers run, it arrived as one package, Season 21 Part 2-3, together with a renewed CryWolf.

Who is the Crusader, MU Online's 16th class?
The Crusader deals light damage and boosts its party's damage. IGCN's files list it as Crusader (Paladin). In Korea it started on a new speed server on September 30, 2025 and reached the regular servers on October 28. Officially it needs no unlock level and starts in Elbeland (Elveland on global); private servers set their own rules.
A new Crusader has 26 Strength, 18 Agility, 19 Vitality and 20 Energy, with 150 HP and 40 mana. Its class line runs Crusader, Impact Crusader, Master Paladin, Sacred Paladin and Templar Commander (Temple Guard Commander in Webzen's global guide), and its official set party adds the Illusion Knight and the Rage Fighter.
Crusader skills: three hammers and Lugard's sigil
- Divine Fall (60 Strength, 29 Agility): a hammer of Lugard's light drops onto enemies from above.
- Holy Sweep (420 Strength, 168 Agility): a moving attack. Lugard's power swells the hammer, and you keep walking while you swing it.
- Sacred Impact (1,045 Strength, 418 Agility): a thrown hammer of light that strikes up to 8 times, and one enemy can take several of those hits.
- Lugard's Protection: Punishment (200 Energy; Lugard's Blessing: Retaliation on global): calls down Lugard's sigil, and party members near it, the Crusader included, get higher skill attack power.
Despite the word Protection, that last skill is a damage buff, not a shield. The Crusader also borrows five Dark Knight skills: Twisting Slash, Rageful Blow, Strike of Destruction, Blood Storm and Rush. Webzen's Crusader skill guide lists the official requirements, and our Crusader guide covers playstyle.
Its gear came in three steps: starter hammers and shields plus the level 400 Bloodangel set (Part 1-1); socket and mastery gear up to the level 1500 tier, Temple Guard pieces and its own cloaks (Part 1-2); and an Imperial hammer, shield and armor set at level 1600 (Part 2-3).
What did Season 21 add to the endgame?
Aquila's Temple and Imperial gear
Aquila's Temple (Sanctuary of Aquilas on global) opened in Korea with Part 1-2 on October 28, 2025. You enter from Kanturu Ruins at level 1600; the hunting penalty starts at 1650. Its Aquila Warriors, Gunners and Magicians drop ability crystals and Imperial upgrade stones.
Imperial (Ancestral Imperial on global) is the second Legendary tier, a step above the Temple Guard gear of Season 20: you upgrade a Temple Guard weapon, shield or armor piece into Imperial, then enhance it with those stones. Every class could use it at launch except the Crusader. For the full chain from Bloodangel to Imperial, see the guardian and mastery gear guide.
Raklion of Oblivion and level 1800
Raklion of Oblivion (or Forgotten Raklion) opened in Korea with Part 2-2 on May 19, 2026. You enter from inside Raklion at level 1650, with the hunting penalty from 1700. Three monster types roam it: the Giant Mammoth of Oblivion fights up close, the Giant of Oblivion hits an area, and the Iron Knight of Oblivion's long-range area attack drains AG and mana. It has no boss.
Part 2-2 also lifted the level cap to 1800 (400 normal levels plus Master Level 1400). IGCN's Season 22 Part 1-1 files still stop there, while Korea's Season 22 Part 1-2 moved on to 1850 and added the Arcana Archive. The master level guide covers the 1400 levels that come after 400.
Elite Zones
Elite Zones are harder sections of a hunting ground with elite monsters and extra drops, including Jewels of Harmony and Uriel's Feather, a 5th-wing material. On the official service each new zone replaced the one before: Part 1-3 opened the Aquila's Temple zone and closed the Swamp of Destruction zone, then Part 2-3 opened one in Raklion of Oblivion and closed Aquila's.
9th mastery earrings and the Rhino
The 9th mastery earrings (Part 2-2) are called Earring of Benevolence in IGCN's item data (Compassion in its news). The left one needs level 1050 and the right one 1100; each rolls one to three random options, the pair adds a set bonus, and both upgrade to +15.
The Rhino (Part 2-3) is the 8th guardian: a mount you wear from the inventory, usable from level 1500. You make it by upgrading the 7th guardian, Tauros, with a Seal of Rhino, and with a small chance the upgrade gives a Rhino (Rare) instead: same stats, different color.
Which classes did Season 21 Part 2 renew?
Part 2-1 (Korea, April 21, 2026) renewed five classes: the agility Elf, both Magic Gladiator types, the Illusion Knight, the Gun Crusher and the Lemuria Mage. Three of them got an attack power type of their own:
- Gale for the Elf, whose socket and mastery bows and quivers now carry a Combat Power (%) option tied to Agility.
- Chaos for the knight-type Magic Gladiator, which lost its Skill Attack Power (%) option; its two-handed swords had their Combat Power numbers retuned.
- Illusion for the Illusion Knight, which lost Skill Attack Power (%) as well. Its socket and mastery blades gained Combat Power (%) from Strength and Agility, Blade Storm no longer dashes, and Illusion Blade now speeds up attacks instead of adding attack power.
The wizard-type Magic Gladiator gained an Energy-based Wizardry Damage option and its own Mastery Magic Staff (the regular Mastery Staff is now off-limits to it), and the Gun Crusher and Lemuria Mage had their wizardry values adjusted.
Part 2-1 also changed gear requirements for everyone. Upgrading no longer raises them, so a +15 weapon asks for the same stats as at +0, though a Jewel of Life option still adds to them. Every weapon and armor piece got new base values, and Korea reset all characters' stats for the change, plus the skill trees of the five renewed classes.
How did Season 21 change CryWolf?
Korea renewed CryWolf in Part 1-3, on November 18, 2025; IGCN's files got it with Part 2-3, hence that release's name, CryWolf & Classes Renewal. New to the event? Start with our CryWolf event guide. For defenders, the renewal means:
- Balgass comes sooner: 6 minutes 40 seconds into the battle instead of 10 minutes.
- Rewards wait in the Gremory Case instead of dropping on the ground.
- Weekly elements: the monsters take one of five elements each week (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind or Darkness).
- Joining is easier: an icon announces the start and a button takes you there.
- Redrawn screens for progress, battle and results.
SilverMU's own event times will appear on the events page once the realm is online.
Which events and older maps changed in Season 21?
- Deep Dungeon (Part 1-1): the five floors now have staggered entry levels, from 730 on the 1st floor to 780 on the 4th and 5th, and their monsters and EXP were rescaled to match.
- Event brackets (Parts 1-2 and 2-2): Devil Square, Blood Castle, Chaos Castle and Doppelganger were re-bracketed by level in Part 1-2 and pushed up again in Part 2-2, to a top bracket of 1700+. Boss Battle Together bosses got stronger in both parts.
- Also in Part 2-2: socket enhancement success rates went up, and Guardian Angel, Satan and Horn of Uniria can no longer be looted from monsters or earned from quests.

Why do Season 21 private servers differ so much?
IGCN shipped Season 21 in three packages instead of six. According to IGCN staff, its Part 2-3 package also holds the Korean Parts 1-3, 2-1 and 2-2, so servers jumped from Part 1-2 straight to 2-3, and two servers that both say "Season 21" can be half a season apart. IGCN's Part 2-3 announcement lists its contents.
The client can differ too: IGCN's update that holds the classic client at a steady 25 FPS covers its Season 22 Part 1-1 and Season 21 Part 2-3 packages, not Part 1-2 (see our 25 FPS client article). SilverMU's Season 22 client already includes that update, and a 60+ FPS client is planned for later.
How does Season 22 build on Season 21?
Season 21 was a content season: a class, two hunting grounds, a gear tier, a guardian and 100 more levels. Season 22 Part 1-1, live in Korea since September 15, 2026, adds no class or map. It is a combat update that applies the class-specific attack power of Part 2-1 to four classes: the Dark Knight gets Rage, the Slayer gets Darkness, the knight-type Magic Gladiator gets Fighting Spirit, and the Rage Fighter has its Area, Divine and Melee types reworked.
Our MU Online Season 22 article covers that renewal, while our MU Online season history walks through every earlier season.
